# How to manufacture flow

What if you could manufacture a flow state?
Flow state isn’t something you can switch on and off.
But it also isn’t something you have to sit around and wait for. In reality, it’s something you can reach through:
\- A clear objective

\- A reasonable workload

\- A positive + creative state of mind
I recommend going through 3 phases to achieve flow state:
1\) Planning
2\) Creating space
3\) Tuning in
All of this requires long, uninterrupted time to check off tasks. Here’s how Denzil does it:
1\) When you enter a work block, mute your notifications → fully quit any distracting apps → turn on music without lyrics.
2\) Once you’re in that zen mode, it can take 10–15 minutes to really enter flow state.
3\) Start with a 5-minute meditation of sorts — try not to think about anything specific.
4\) Finally, you’re ready to dive in & work through even the most complex tasks.
